Central Rappahannock Regional Library IdeaSpace

What a great extension to the traditional library offerings. It is so fantastic to see so many useful tools and training opportunities being provided as library services. My son recently recieved his 3D printing badge and printed a Mandalorian Helmet. We are looking forward to learning the 3D scanner next, and experimenting with some of our own projects.

My only complaint would be that they (the library's Powers That Be) did not have enough faith in the project and therefore did not get them a large enough space. It may be ok for now. But they were not left with enough space to grow. But we are lucky to have such a Maker Space with laser cutter, 3d printers, and audio/video studio space.

Friendly and helpful staff; great creative workspace. My son earned his badge and qualified to use the 3D printer. I can see us coming back often; I was surprised by how much they have to offer. Go online first to learn how to earn a badge on any of the equipment, then make an appointment. I am happy to see such a great resource available in our community!

Wow!!! I am soooo super glad that a friend informed my family about IdeaSpace. Simon was a HUGE help to my daughter and I today. He is extremely passionate, patient, helpful, and his customer service is top notch. I was blown away by his hospitality from the moment we entered the parking lot. We will definitely tell everyone that we know to utilize this facility, and we will be back very soon! Thanks for being amazing Simon!

I love ideaspace!! So many cool things to work with and awesome employees that are very helpful!! Everyone is so great and knowledgeable in getting you started with any of the equipment! The laser cutter and sewing machine are at the top of the list for me to master but I’m very interested in 3D printer as well!! I can’t wait til they expand their hours so I can make it in more often.
