Central Avenue House

This place is running a scam. I made a GUARANTEED reservation and a few days later, they sent an email saying they would "allow me to cancel" or I could PAY to continue to hold my reservation. When I didn't pay the added RANSOM fees because my reservation was guaranteed on booking.com, they went ahead and cancelled my reservation. And booking.com did nothing to protect my reservation! They should be ashamed for pulling this scam to try to make people pay more to keep a guaranteed reservation!!

I booked and paid for a two-night stay through Priceline. Check in was after 3pm and I arrived a little after 4pm. I couldn’t get in and I put in the door code provided. Nothing. Called and nothing. Priceline was borderline useless. I was standing in the freezing cold with nowhere else to go…except for the Crystal Inn where I now sit in fear of bedbugs and asbestos.

From the start of this rental, it has been a logistical nightmare! From opening the initial door, and the room being filthy, really contradicted the messages received earlier explicitly indicating no early check in because of our meticulous cleaning policy (non existent because of the lack of cleanliness of the room). The lack of promptness to address the situation was way too long. Took almost 3 hours to get us into a clean room. After putting us into a clean room our stuff was moved into our original booked room without us being here. After being in the room this evening for the second night of our stay, the remote on the tv only turns it on and off. Worst experience EVER!!! We were told we could check in at 3 pm. It is now 5:30 pm. We have been sitting here for about 30 minutes. The room had not been cleaned at all!!!! We have called and not received any resolution!!! We were told we would get a call back in 15 minutes. That did not happen!!! We had to call them, and are still waiting on a resolution!!! I would give a ZERO star review if I could!!! This is the worst VRBO experience we have ever experienced. After finally getting a room last night after 3 hours, we come of the beach today to find all our belongings moved to the room that was never cleaned yesterday!! Do not appreciate the treatment we received at all.... would never recommend this place!!!!!!

Here Right now with "Friends aka Family" chilling out for 5 days,this is comfortable.
