Cave Hill Farms Bed and Breakfast in McGaheysville, VA was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location couldn’t be better—nestled in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley and conveniently close to several excellent wineries. We also loved that the owners operate a brewery just down the road, which made for an easy and fun dinner visit shortly after we arrived. The B&B itself is warm, welcoming, and full of character. The entire home is full of antiques from the generations of family that lived there. There is even a museum in the basement showcasing other artifacts. Our room (Aunt Emma’s Room) was comfortable with charming touches and information about the woman who stayed in the room and for whom the room is named. Breakfast each morning was a highlight. All the guests gathered arou
Innkeepers are friendly and welcoming people. Love how the house includes plenty of history of the generational family. Room was large and bed linens felt luxurious. Really enjoyed the special breakfast in nice dining ambience. Husband no longer wants to stay at hotels LOL. Innkeepers accommodated our schedule, which was very hospitable of them on a weekend. Will tell our friends about it and will likely stay here again.
Best bed and breakfast I have ever had the pleasure of staying at! My husband gifted me a night away for my birthday and I am so glad he chose Cave Hill. The house is breathtaking, the innkeeper is personable and the breakfast was delicious. I will be coming back!
Next to the B&B is a brewery — which was nice. As for the room, ugh. We stayed one night and I truly believe the sheets had not been changed. I know what slept-on sheets look like! The wrinkles give it away. Also, the silky canopy above the bed had a disgusting stain as if a body fluid had been squirted. Totally unacceptable. Hopefully it has been cleaned by now. Location was nice but otherwise I would not recommend. Apparently our review was read and two of our pictures were added to website. The picture not included was that of the disgusting canopy. Whatever.
What an amazing Bed and Breakfast, run by a really sweet couple! We were in the area for my daughter's wedding and we stayed here for the weekend. Jordan could not have been any nicer or more accommodating with us. The rooms were clean and each had its own story and character. Breakfast was delicious each morning as well. The area is really lovely and definitely worth a visit and a stay!
