Cattleman's Roadhouse

Laid back steak house. We got here at 4:30 for an early evening meal. As soon as we got seated our waitress took our drink order and then I headed over to check out the salad bar. A very nice salad bar with lots of choices; a real winner. I knew right away I wanted a ribeye. I got a sweet potato side and also the salad bar. Hubby got a patty melt with fries and also added the salad bar. The steak was properly cooked, the sweet potato melted in my mouth and the salad bar added the freshness my meal needed. Hubby said the patty melt was good/average and the salad bar was a salad bar! If hubby had been happier, this place would have earned a 5 star. Ladies room was clean and functioning. Waitress good but not overly happy or attentive.

Our 3rd time at this location. We’ve driven 2.5 hours to eat here in the past. It’s always been fantastic. Today passing through we was looking forward to our favorite steak dinner. Wasn’t a long wait. 10 minutes or so on a Friday night. The young male host was nice. Our waitress brought out very very dark rolls. We asked for some that wasn’t so overdone. She said she would see if she could. She did. Said we can take the others home to feed the animals or whatever. Broccoli completely cooked to mush. $4 for a tiny bowl of mush. We always get broccoli here it’s always large serving and perfect. Baked potatoes was perfect. One of our steaks was terrible. Couldn’t cut it. It was NOT medium it was rare. Couldn’t cut it. Assumed it was a dull knife. Nope couldn’t hardly chew it. Very tough

The food is definitely not anything to write home about. My bourbon glazed salmon was terrible! It was super fishy, massively overly salted and I couldn’t even taste the glaze! My husband’s steak was mostly fat that was inedible. My little, didn’t even bother to eat his burnt corn dog. This is one of the first times I have left a restaurant still hungry. You get one protein and one side! Choose carefully bc you might just still have to go home and make something else to eat. We ate here as someone’s suggestion and it’s newer to the area… not worth trying! Should have gotten the all you can eat salad bar 😩

Service is excellent, food is served promptly, and the salad bar is awesome! Our steaks were cooked to our preferred doneness. I always look forward to their baked potatoes. The salad bar is loaded with plentiful options and is constantly tended to by the staff. The only suggestion that I would give is to lower the volume of the overhead music. It forces people to talk louder to be heard over it, which in turn raises the level of noise! I have posted the current daily specials, since they are no longer available on the website. Boy did I have a bargain ribeye here they really marinate and spice their steaks fantastic and it was done just perfectly The salad bar is one of the best I've seen in years.
