Cattleman’s Roadhouse

Cattlemen's is a mixed bag but mostly bad. We'll start with how good the steaks are cooked to the exact temp you request it was edge to edge pink which was impressive. However it does lack salt. But they are very heavy handed with the pepper. So by no means is the steak bland but for a steak cooked so well I wish the seasoning matched. Now for the bad. The service here is atrocious. Like really bad. Drinks running out and missing items that you order are a plenty. But the worst part was we were playing jenga with all the plates we had to stack up to make room for even more plates. They will not clear your table. App plates, bread plates, entree plates, side plates, dessert plates, just see how high you can stack it. It's honestly more fun than the food. Because anything other than a steak

We stopped in for lunch as we were passing through. We were seated right away, no waiting. Our waitress, Kimmie, was very attentive and polite. I ordered the filet, medium rare. Husband ordered the ribeye, medium rare. Both were absolutely delicious and so tender, juicy. Cooked to perfection. We ordered the peanut butter pie to go, highly recommended by Kimmie and she was spot on! It was delicious.

Staff and salad bar are second to none but the restaurant is obviously understaffed. . . Avoid the soup and chili. It’s served lukewarm at best. Pot roast is minced meat. Steaks are good. Salad bar is amazing. Prices are low and affordable which makes it overcome some shortcomings.

The food all around was great and we all left with a full belly. The service was good and the atmosphere was great. This place has a full blown salad bar also. If you're looking for a good steak or just a good meal in general I would definitely recommend Cattleman's Roadhouse.

I have been coming here for years and have always loved their salad bar, especially the broccoli salad. Lately it has been hit or miss. I'm told the person who makes the broccoli salad retired and whoever is making it now isn't using the same recipe. It used to be sweet and now it is bland and gummy. It would be great if they would use the original recipe and stay consistent with it. I really like the staff, always friendly and quick.
