Castel’s Jerk Joint

Delicious food! I got the chicken curry. Comes with plenty of rice and peas on the side so it doesn't leave you hungry. I also enjoyed a D&G Jamaican ginger beer, which I've never had before.

Damn I wish I stopped all those times passing by…will be stopping there more. You won’t be hungry with these portions and wow the flavors are amazing. Had the oxtail with red bean rice and cabbage. Everything had so much flavor….I haven’t had anything this good in a long time with all the traveling I do. Also very fast. You don’t have long waits at all. Quick food if your on the run and in a hurry

Good prices and portions! We got patties, oxtail, brown stew pork, and jerk chicken. All the food was delicious but the jerk chicken was hands down my favorite, the flavor was perfect, you can tell it was cooked on a barbecue! The sides were great as well. Will definitely make the drive back for more.

We went here after a long drive from upstate NY. It was EXACTLY what we needed! The food was so delicious. I got the Brown Stew Pork and my partner got Jerk Chicken. All the meat was tender and spiced perfectly. We left with some of Castel’s hot sauce which is also delicious! Would recommend to anyone looking for a good, filling meal.

This is a welcome addition to the "Smallest City in the US". Mostly a take out place, they do have a couple of tables, not really a sit-down restaurant. The food is prepared in advance, and comes out quickly. There is a limited menu and they may have run out of this or that, you can easily just arrive, see what's available, and your takeout will be ready quickly. We sampled the Jerk Chicken and the Oxtail stew. Delicious, authentic food, served with a side of rice and peas and a vegetable, last night's was cabbage. Everything was very good. Nothing was especially spicy, my elderly Dad who doesn't really have a tolerance for spicy enjoyed it. My son and I added some hot sauce. Yum.
