Casa Tequila

Stopped by on our way back to Iowa City. Everyone was very happy with their meal choices, and had enough for leftovers the next day. Mine was Birria tacos with lots of yummy sauces.

Casa Tequila is pure Mexican grill. You will enjoy if you like Mexican food. We ordered quesadillas, enchiladas, and few others dishes. Our waitress was very quick and took orders fast and brought it well as well. Quesadillas was great. Ambience is ok ok. Overall good food option if you like Mexican food.

I love Casa Tequila! Tonight my daughter and I shared a Pineapple Boat, which was delicious. I gave the food a three star rating, because the Pineapple Boat although tasty, didn’t contain any pineapple. It comes in a half hollowed out pineapple, without pineapple included in the entree. We managed to get a small piece from the shell. The meat/vegetable combination with the pineapple was amazing! The sweetness of the pineapple, went very well with the meat mixture. Even though it is pricey at $19.99, it comes with rice, beans, and tortillas. My daughter and I shared it, with plenty for both of us. I would buy this again, if it had pineapple included. Without the pineapple, I wouldn’t buy it. There are other entrees similar to this without the costly price tag.

Mexican food after a day wandering the trail system in Iowa City by bicycle? Yes please! We had been told this was a place we had to try and we were not led astray. Salsas were on point. Generous portions guaranteed left overs. The atmosphere was bright and welcoming. Would return again to explore their menu!

The food is always delicious!! Great price for ask that you get, AND the chips and salsa are sooooo good!! Kim, our waitress was super nice and friendly. 10/10 would recommend 👍🏼
