Casa Monarca Mexican Cantina

The inside is so cute, and the food is delicious. Queso blanco is nice and light, and we both got the queso blanco enchiladas, also so very delicious and light. And the fact they serve water and soda in mason jars is such a nice choice, I love it.

I ate here last night with a group of 8 women and we had a lot of fun! We arrived early for our reservation so had a drink at the bar and the bar tenders, especially Eduardo, were accommodating, kind and made great drinks! Our waitress was also great with our group, and we didn’t have to wait too long for food or drinks. The chips, guacamole, queso flameado were great! My chicken enchilada was good, and everyone else seemed to enjoy their food. It was loud and hard to talk to anyone besides the person right next to you and even louder when the mariachis were playing for part of the night. Its beautiful in here. Spacious waiting area with large couch. Bar area is long and the dining tables are located away from them for space. Food is very delicious. Generous portions of Birria Nachos. Order Pineapple Agua fresco as well. Everything was great.

This is probably my favorite restaurant in BCS these days. Drinks are great, guac is good, and we love the Burria taco dishes. Service is always fast and friendly. I did go once when it was super busy at like 6pm but otherwise I haven’t had any trouble getting seated quickly. I usually go with my kids and this place meets all the requirements for having them with us. Beer selection could be better but that’s pretty typical for Mexican restaurants.

We had the beef and chicken fajitas and the asado. Food came out hot, fajitas steaming. Service was awesome and waitress was very helpful. Beer could have been colder but the strawberry margarita was excellent. Chips and salsa great, guacamole, and cheese dip awesome. If you like hotter salsa they have that also. Clean place. We were visiting the area and chose this place and it was a great choice. Highly recommend
