After our jeep tour around RMNP, we ate at this mexican restaurant. The food was great and aervice was good. My eyes are sometimes bigger than my stomach. They serve a lot on the plates. My burrito was huge!
This has been one of my favorite restaurants in Estes Park for years. The setting along the river is absolutely beautiful — perfect for outdoor dining in the summer and stunning during fall foliage season. I tried the spicy mango margarita this time, and it was an incredible twist on my usual lime margarita — just the right balance of sweetness and a touch of spice for a nice kick! We also ordered a few appetizers, and both the food and service were excellent. We visited on a weekday afternoon when it was peaceful and quiet, but it can get busy and lively during peak hours. Highly recommend this spot if you enjoy delicious Mexican cuisine in a scenic setting.
If I could give a minus rating I would. Food was way overpriced and so bland. The waiter didn’t check in on us so I had to go find some sauce to add spice to my disgusting meal. I’ve never been to a Mexican restaurant before where they charge for chips, especially when the dishes are $20-$30. Oh my gosh I found mushy green beans and corn in my rice. So disgusting. The waiter actually told me they include green beans and corn in their rice, yet my friend didn’t have any in her rice. I would not want to see their kitchen. My friend returned her dish because the chicken was raw, the food was grossly bland. A huge no for me. I’m actually pissed it costs me over $20 for an absolutely horrible meal.
Great tasting food in a very spacious relaxing atmosphere in this by The River Walk restaurant. Although there is outdoor seating I chose to sit inside facing the wall of double height windows with views of the trees as well as the river. There’s also a full service bar lounge with plenty of choices. My Chicken Fajitas came piping hot to which I added some salsa for a nice meal. Highly recommend.
I'll be upfront, this restaurant is expensive. I know Estes Park relies on tourists, and the off season is slow. But for the portions & quality, I feel like it is all over priced. The food wasn't bad, it was mid. It is trying to be more of an up-scale style of Mexican food, there are no A la carte options, everything is a plate with other things. I had the Arroz Pollo, which was two grilled chicken breasts with veggies, covered in a cream cheese sauce. Again, it was good, not great. My friend ordered a combination plate with a tamale and chicken chimichanga, side of rice and beans. The chimi reminded me of one of those packs of frozen burritos you can get at the grocery store. Also, no free chips and salsa! The most affordable items were part of the happy hour menu. I would not pay $26 for
