Great little place a local told us about to have dinner was casual comfortable and food was great had steak and mashed potatoes side of buffalo wings and dates wrapped in bacon 🥓 so good. Sweet and savory combo. Our waitress was awesome she pegged me immediately that I came from New Hampshire lol she was a Massachusetts transplant. Had live entertainment that wasn't over bearing you could enjoy your meal and have conversation without being drowned out by music so that was also a plus for me.
Loved the vibe of the restaurant. We went early and didn't have to wait for a table. We ordered the elk sausage and the spinach artichoke dip for appetizers. Both were very good. The casing on the sausage was a little tough but the flavor was great. The dip wasnt like anything I'd had before but it was so good and had a little heat to it. For entrees we ordered the stroganoff and the chipotle rainbow trout. The fish was amazing and cooked to perfection. The stroganoff was good with tender pieces of steak. I only wish the sauce had been thicker. The live music was an awesome addition to the overall vibe. We were worried that it would be too loud sitting right next to the musician but it was perfect.
Great spot for a meal. Environment is cozy and nice. Staff is accommodating and helpful. Asked for recommendations and was very satisfied with what was provided. We had elk sausage for an appetizer. Bread with cinnamon butter was awesome. Elk meatballs were great. Lots of food. I didn’t enjoy the mountain margarita. Had lots of dessert.
Service and food was great! The bacon wrapped dates were very tasty and we loved the trout with dill and butter! The meat on the mains were done very well but the sides were a little lacking in flavor. 10/10 would recommend.
Another off the beaten path restaurant find that did not disappoint. The atmosphere is exactly what you look for when you’re in the Rockies, but you can tell this is very much a locals spot. Great recommendation from the server on the Buffalo meatballs, they were so good. The pizza was also very good and nice and crispy! Giving a 5star because it deserved it, but wish I could do 1/2. 4.5 because I did have one of the worst mules I’ve ever had and the bartender at the bar was very rude. But still a 5 over a 4 in my book.
