Customer Reviews
Great service, amazing food (bison burgers were cooked perfectly), and well kept inside!
Cafe that's located near the Mount Rushmore national monument. There's plenty of seating here. There's two different counters - one serves ice cream, the other serves actual food. The service was okay, not bad. Food came out on a tray, as if you're at school. The taste was pretty good, but it wasn't amazing. The biggest standout was that the room was really breezy - there were fans going on full blast that were constantly blowing away my napkins.
I believe this might be my fourth visit over my lifetime to Mount Rushmore and it never gets old. This was our first time to eat at Carvers Cafe. My wife and I had the pot roast dinner for only $11. It was delicious and did not disappoint.
Crispy Chicken Sandwich was made much better by adding bacon and cheese. Was surprised the cheese was cheddar and not an American single. Chicken had a nice crispy exterior and wasn't overcooked. Hot Dog was okay and the finely minced red onion took it up a notch. French Fries were a bit soggy and limp. Fantastic view of Mt. Rushmore.

It cost us $12 for two cups of ice cream. Definitely not cheap. But we've had worse. So it wasn't so bad considering where we were. We sat in the main food court where there were different options for food. They had some employees who obviously had issues that they work through and work productively and with such great attitudes. It made my day speaking with one of them and signing his list of where folks were from. I watched as some of these nice folks worked before I got the opportunity to meet them. I was
