Grew up on Carvel, I get some every time I'm in NYC.
They have a great socially distant set up, minimizing the number of customers allowed inside. Obviously Carvel is pretty straightforward, and you know what to expect. Five stars for friendly service and covid safe protocols.
Beyond being a well run Carvel with delicious ice cream, Dan and his team set the standard for customer service and consideration. A perfect example of what a small business/neighborhood establishment should be.
In the summer month's this is a twice a week spot for us. The variety of ice cream is great. The cones are fresh. The staff is friendly and helpful.
There is not much that differentiates one carvel from another product-wise. However, the awesome customer service and friendly staff is what makes this one shine. We have a peanut allergy in the family and have never had an issue either. They also do a phenomenal job decorating cakes. 10/10 would recommend :)
