Carter's Fried Chicken

Our impromptu stop on the way to Jax and a good one at that! Freshly fried chicken, gizzards, fries, hushpuppies, apple pie turnover, mozz sticks...goodness. Everything was hot and fresh, with the staff being patient as my family figured out what they wanted as people came and went with purpose and good eats. Lightly breaded, the chicken is a star but we all enjoyed everything else too. Gizzards as a side is a beautiful thing. Dunked into some hot sauce and I feel reset to head home 🍻

My wife and I recently found out about this place near our home and boy we are happy we did. It was by far the best southern comfort fried food I've had in a long time. Hot, fresh and delicious. We'll definitely be back. Especially since we live so close to it.

Ladies and gentlemen may I have your attention please? Carter's Fried Chicken is a place that you must try if you are in the Ashburn Georgia area. I don't think there's enough room here in the remarks area to say enough good things about this restaurant! For starters there are two Hispanic ladies who have worked there a very long time from what I understand, and they are very friendly. The entire staff are friendly and knowledgeable of the area and knowledgeable of all the food that they serve. I personally love chicken livers but they have to be cooked right and I had thought there was only one place which is Skipper John's in Perry, Georgia that cooks imperfectly when lo and behold right there in Ashburn Georgia you have Carter's chicken and they serve the best chicken livers I have eve
