Brown's Seafood

I only recently discovered Brown's despite the fact it is only 11 miles from my home. If you enjoy no frills quality regional seafood at a reasonable price, this is the place for you. It is not fancy, rather small but rather quaint place in which you seat yourself. I was I somewhat disappointed to learn that they were out of scallops but quickly opted for fried shrimp. I chose the creole seasoning which produced a generous plate of lightly breaded succulent shrimp. I chose cole slaw which was decent and fries which were good to accompany the shrimp. The hush puppies were decent too. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her generous portion of grilled shrimp in creole seasoning with sweet potato fries and green beans. Visited Brown's Seafood on a recent trip to GA. The fish is always fresh! Fried shrimp was great! My husband and I both enjoyed our meals. Never disappointed when we go to Brown's. Brown's is a little family owned restaurant and fish market. Nothing fancy at all. But good food!

Visited at 1:30 Saturday afternoon. Onky one other group in the restaurant. Gave our order and waited 30 minutes. A couple had come in 20 minutes after us and already had their food. Asked the server snd they hadn’t started the order, catfish and shrimp. We cancelled and left.

Everytime I go here, It feels like home. The staff makes me feel just like family. They are just some of the sweetest people. Friday after getting off from work, I had a taste for some seafood, so I ordered a seafood platter, and it was ummm ummm good. So good, I'm ready for some more. I highly recommend this place. They sell fresh seafood, and also cook to order so you'll get it fresh and hot. To me, they have the best coleslaw in town. They also serve lunch. Go check them out. You won't regret it. Whole catfish was very small. The fish was tough to eat. Fries and hush puppies were good.
