Caribou Cafe

We were in town for a basketball tournament. The place was busy, but not packed by any means. It is fairly small. The chairs were so wobbly, it was risky to slide them in. We odered our food (a table of 5). We were the last in the entire restaurant to get our food, even after people that came in after us with more people. It took an hour to get 3 orders of chicken tenders with fries, a French dip and a side of fries. The chicken tenders were processed, chopped, pressed, breaded meat. They do not serve breakfast at all. The menu online is not correct- maybe new owners? The food that was featured was all frozen, fried food. VERY overpriced. One waitress, one cook, one busser. I will say the fries were really good, but that was the one saving grace.

Overall, food and service were good. Received an order of mozz sticks, that they had forgotten about, that were still frozen in the middle when served. They comped them, which was fine. But I would have rather not bit into a frozen mozz stick and paid for something that was done right.

We grabbed take-out from here on our 1 night in Kemmerer in October 2025. We ordered 2 meals to share: a big Cobb salad and a Hot Prime dinner, which is an open-face roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy on top. The meals were absolutely delicious with gigantic portions for both. It wasn't cheap, but not overly expensive either. We were both happy with everything we got and even had leftovers to eat the next day. Would recommend this restaurant if you find yourself in Kemmerer.

Welcoming atmosphere. Super friendly staff!! Oh my heck! Usually, in these small towns, you expect a certain level of irritation. But nope! And the food is fantastic! Honestly, I wasn’t expecting the quality of the food to be that good. Fresh and tasty and just great!! If you are in the area, Caribou Cafe is where you want to eat!

This is your basis small town diner. The staff is friendly. The restaurant is clean. The service is fast. The food is good. Everything you want in a restaurant. I would eat here again.
