Cardinal Cliffs Bed and Breakfast

This B&B was the highlight of our Minnesota exploration. The location of Two Harbors is perfect to explore both Duluth and the North Shore. The fall colors were incredible, and the views from the B&B are unbeatable. Our room and the bathroom were beautiful and very clean. The breakfasts were some to the best meals that we ate. Lori and Jim are incredible cooks -- the omelets, waffles, and quiche were soooo delicious!They even had homemade apple butter and granola. To top it off, we really enjoyed meeting Jim and Lori -- they had wonderful recommendations about the area, and are really lovely people who go out of their way to make people feel at home. You should definitely stay here, if in the area.

Cardinal Cliffs Bed and Breakfast is highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful retreat on the North Shore. This property offers stunning views of Lake Superior and is situated in a rural area, providing access to beautiful hiking trails that showcase the rolling hills throughout the property. We enjoyed a delicious, complimentary breakfast each morning, featuring homemade granola, caramel rolls, and omelets. The property also allows for enjoyable late-night campfires, where we could relax while watching barges come into the port. The hosts, James and his wife, offered great hospitality, ensuring their guests felt comfortable throughout their stay and provided great recommendations for local dining options. Jim and Lori are lovely people who are genuinely interested in other peoples stories. They are also more than happy to give you space if you need it. Lori’s cooking is wonderful- she’s like a professional chef with her own cookbook containing a collection of recipes that each have their own story! My favorites so far have been the pork with a mustard sauce that tasted like dessert, and her country style-blueberry rhubarb pie. Everything is made from scratch. The nature all around the house extends a great distance and had all sorts of different colored wildflowers when I was there. Jim does a phenomenal job of maintaining the land and keeping things looking beautiful. I spent some time in the canoe provided in the pond- absolutely stunning!
