Nice restaurant, good service but food is ok. Appetizers were good, melted cheese and artichokes. We shared a prime rib a steak Diane and wine by the glass. The dessert was very good, we shared a butter toffee cake. I ordered an espresso but they have only regular coffee.
We ended up sitting at one of the few tables in the bar because we didn't make reservations early enough for main room. The dark, vintage, western atmosphere was fun. We spent a bit of time talking with the lovely Loraine about the ghost sightings. Seems the place is haunted late at night when few are around. Anyway, we started with the garlicky mushrooms. I got salmon and Brussels sprouts. My companion got pork chops and garlic mashed potatoes. All were delicious. There's a warm, white bread loaf I think you might have to ask for and it was helpful in soaking up the leftover juice of the mushrooms! My friends been there many times. It's all the goodness they said. Super place for dinner!
What a wonderful experience! Very rustic restaurant with excellent service and the staff is all friendly and very helpful. Nice large outdoor patio and a beautiful stone fireplace indoors with comfortable Naugahyde booth seating as well as tables. I enjoyed a lobster tail and the artichoke and they were both lovely! They recommend!
This is a traditional old time steakhouse, with prime rib, NY steak, sirloin, pork chop, clam chowder, among other things and they have a good wine list. They also have a full bar. Been going to this place since I was a child and my folks would weekend in big bear. This trip I got the pork chop, it was juicy, tender, flavorful, but not salty, perfectly cooked, with a side of rice pilaf. Wife got the cheese tortellini with shrimp (shrimp was good but for 18$ for four shrimp) in addition to the 30$ tortellini, that's a bit steep. They are large shrimp, but not worth 4+$ each. This place has not changed, prices have always been high, but the food is usually very good (there was this one time I went and the food sucked, had not gone back for years because of that) but it's all good now.
Decent place with dim atmosphere food is good but extremely overpriced! I thought my hometown Miami was expensive but this place just beat it. 37$ for farmed salmon and 1 baked potato 🥔 is wild 🤪 pardon my French. Service is slow. Many vacant tables while the host is making you wait for 30 min to get a table … a bit disappointed
