Captain Bell House Bed & Breakfast

What a fantastic experience and gorgeous and unique stay! I passed this place while in town a few months ago and was able to snag a reservation coming back up for a memorial. Everything was perfect! The owner was fantastic and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We stayed in the Eagles Nest Suite with our two kids and loved it! The bedrooms were large and we had enough space and privacy in the top of the house. Everything was exceptional and no detail left untouched! Everything from the comfort of the bed, to the bath towels in the bathroom and the high quality carpet on the floors that felt like you were walking on cushions. The home is within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants and we enjoyed strolling along the town. We enjoyed our stay so much

What a charming home close to everything in Vermilion. The owner gives you coupons for breakfast at the ice cream shop that also serves food. It is a quick walk from the house. We had breakfast but their perch dinners sounded tempting. ||Our accommodations were so nice and very special. We had our own kitchen, bedroom, bath and two sitting rooms. Just lovely. Decorations were nice and bed was comfy. Sunshine Suite. We stayed here as we were dining at Chez Francois which is quite a distance from our home. That will be another review!😋||Lovely stay. Would highly recommend this place. Owner Phil was very accommodating and responsive to questions in a timely manner.

My wife and I stayed here recently for two nights in the Sunshine Suite. It was extremely clean and well decorated with plenty of room for the two of us - there was an entire other bedroom that went unused plus a full kitchen. The bathroom wasn't enormous but it was fine for two of us. The parking is extremely convenient, as is the location. It is a very quick walk to the entire downtown area, including the breakfast location. We didn't get in our car once until it was time to leave! We were even able to walk to the beach and to Chez Francois. We will 100% be coming back here.

My mother, sister and I stayed here for vacation and absolutely loved it! The innkeeper Phil is the sweetest man and everything was clean! We plan on coming back. Miley is the sweetest dog too! We already miss our stay there! Phil also had an array of coffee and cookies which was a nice touch! He goes the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and includes coupons to a great breakfast place nearby! It is the best place to stay in Vermillion!!!||||The location is great with the lake down the road and local restaurants! I also recommend going to Encore Consignment Shop! The lady is a hoot! My sister even found her prom dress there! We stayed in the Sunshine suite and it is amazing! Everything is historically accurate and adorable! Phil even has a marble chess set!

We just happened upon this sweet B&B after reservations at a hotel in Port Clinton were mixed up and we couldn't be more thankful that we did!! We stayed in the Sunshine Suite which was more than expected! Beautiful large space that was tastefully decorated and very clean. No detail spared with extra linens and a full kitchen with a wide array of coffee k-cup choices to suit any taste. The owner Phil was kind and informative. We will most definitely choose Captain Bell House the next time we stay in Vermillion!
