The staff at Canyon’s BBQ is always so welcoming, and the food is consistently great. I stopped in during the holidays and Debbie went above and beyond to helpful, truly excellent service! I got the large Gaucho sandwich combo with garlic and a mac & cheese side for $24, plus a regular turkey meal with mac & cheese, fries, and a slice of garlic bread for $16.50. All in, it was $45 and absolutely worth it. Would highly recommend!

02/15/26, I'm glad for "decent" but overpriced at $65 for 2-2 meat plates & 2 drinks. The cornbread is awesome along with the same dose of awesomeness for the mac-N-cheese and potato salad. The meat options are good, the burnt ends were not exactly burnt ends, more like burnt pieces. Chicken was standard, pork ribs were great. No idea about beef ribs, they had a big sign posted that beef ribs were sold out for the next 2 days. The beans were over spicy with no warning for spicy, in KC spicy beans are called Cowboy beans to distinguish hot from flavorful and by all means do pass on the coleslaw, it had no love on it at all. We'll come back but be more choice conscious for the price. Thanks for representing BBQ even though it's overpriced for what was served. $32.50 with a drink and tax for

Tried this spot because I was craving ribs and Mac n cheese. The brisket definitely not my choice,, mine was tough and dry as well as my ribs. Felt like last nights food just reheated .. the spicy bbq sauce is gats damn delicious I kinda forgot my food was dry. Mac n cheese was fire as well.. was hoping they served greens the beans were spicy as hell and not enjoyable, then the limp cornbread didn’t make it any better.. the service is mediocre, they take your number and text you when your food is ready.

After my granddaughter’s softball game, we decided to try Canyons Barbeque in Castro Valley for dinner. It was our first time there, and I can say we will definitely be going back. We arrived a little late and unfortunately the ribs were already sold out. However, my husband ordered a rib sandwich, so we still got to taste the rib meat—and it was absolutely delicious. Next time we’ll make sure to get there earlier so we can order the ribs! The mac and cheese was fantastic, the prices were very reasonable, and the atmosphere was fun and relaxed. We sat outside and it was a beautiful evening. While I was waiting at the bar for drinks, there was a very disgruntled customer who was extremely rude from the start. I had been behind him when we ordered, and unfortunately I witnessed his behavi

Dropped by for the first time. The place is quite loud as there are no acoustic materials to absorb sound. There are a number of seats inside but there are more seats outside. We got here for dinner, but not sure if thats why the meats we ordered seemed dry. As if they were sitting in a warmer for a while. The bbq sauces did help out a bit. The chicken, tri-tip, and pork ribs were okay. But the burnt ends and brisket were dry and chewy. Oddly the coleslaw was too. The fries seemed dry, but the outside did have a crispness to it. The mac cheese was okay, but didn't taste like cheese. Reminds me of powdered cheese. As for the atmosphere, we noticed that some of the tables were wobbly and some were even skewed to one side. Overall a 3 star place.
