Camellia City Cafe

Camellia's was exactly what I needed before a long day on the road! The owners were warm and welcoming, the coffee delicious, the food hot and filling (they had hot & cold buffet offerings for breakfast, in addition to a la carte.) They were lovely and sent me out the door with a cinnamon roll for the road-- when I come back through I'll absolutely be stopping in!

We went in with all 3 of our kids and the service was great. The lady's checked on us regularly and put out hot fresh food. My girls loved the fruit, eggs and bacon. The hashbrown casserole was my favorite!

Greatest breakfast and buffet ever! Super kid-friendly. The staff and even the other guests couldn’t have been nicer. We showed up with little ones who basically cleared out the food, and the staff immediately started cooking up a storm and bringing fresh dishes straight to our table. I’ve never seen customer service like this outside of Chick-fil-A. I wish we lived closer because we started the meal as strangers, and by the end it felt like the whole staff knew the ages and birthplaces of our kids. The prices were great, and the food was awesome. Those mini biscuits with grits and a scoop of pimento cheese from the buffet—just wow. They know what they’re doing! Thank you for putting up with our wild children and being so incredibly kind!

Camellia City Cafe is such a cute, homey little breakfast spot, and I really love that Thomson even has a local sit-down breakfast option. We do not have many breakfast places outside of fast food chains, so I truly appreciate that this cafe exists. The inside feels warm and welcoming. I love the tablecloths, the small town café vibe, and the staff has always been very kind whenever I have visited. They also run great deals sometimes, like affordable breakfast sandwiches with sides and a drink, which I think is a really nice touch for the community. I have tried them a few times over the past year, and while there are definitely some good things here, there are also a few areas where I feel improvements could really take this place to the next level. They welcomed us in and were so kind and friendly despite our large group. They made sure to come around and speak with us and find out where we are from and we so attentive! The food was DELICIOUS. Would definitely go again!!
