California Tacos Cantina and Distillery

Very good Asada Tacos. Good amount of beef in it and the tortillas are so good. We ordered to-go and I’m doing this review while still eating because they’re so good. Here’s a picture of the last taco remaining.

This time my review is because I'm happy I came to try the food here and I loved it, it's delicious 😋 The only thing is that if you pay by card it goes up a little bit, but it's the least of it. Thank you Erely for your courtesy.

Food here is really delicious. I almost didn’t wait, the waiter was friendly and nice, it’s clean and stylish inside. Just in case you order guacamole, be ready to pay $14 for it (they didn’t put it in menu). That’s why this review is only 4 stars, not 5. But everything else is great, I would definitely recommend

10/26/25 update: Chicken fajita bowl was very good and service was snappy. And the $10 “Margarita Monday” margarita was good, but I’d be a little disappointed if I paid $16 full price for a margarita that uses $12 a bottle tequila. And I had to laugh at the straw they gave me for my water. Excellent mezcal Margarita, cold beer, poor food. I stopped by for lunch and had the $26 shrimp agua Chile Verde, and I was surprised it was a chilled dish. I don't mind chilled dishes but I don't like to be surprised. It should have been clearly stated on the menu. Generous portion but the shrimp was so tough I couldn't cut it with a fork, much less chew it. Not sure what day it was prepared but it was overcooked to the point of rubber. I told the server not to worry about it but she took about 50% off

We just left after celebrating our daughters birthday. Our server Miriam was amazing and accommodating from the moment we walked in the door. She was super attentive the entire time. Our chips and drinking glasses were never empty and she returned quickly with the many requests our table of 12 asked for. The food was SO good!!! The meat in all of our dishes was juicy and deliciously seasoned. The owner and our server took care of our cake that started melting and gave us a freaking awesome sparkler when it was time to sing happy birthday. This was our first time here and we are all excited to come back!
