Calico Cat Café

This is the first cat café in South Jersey and it is located in a little town called Oaklyn which is right near Cherry Hill! They have books and games and many of them are cat themed as well as bananagrams, Scrabble, twister and other favorites. You can warm up for winter or anytime of year with a huge variety of Ramen with so many different toppings to choose from. It’s best to book an appointment to visit with the cats in advance on their website to make sure that you get a spot since a limited amount of people are able to be with the cats at one time. The cat visit room is separated from the café area so you can relax and spend time there while you’re waiting for your visit or after your visit. We drove over an hour to come here and totally worth it! We got the 1 hour package and got to play with a bunch of adorable cats in a private room. We enjoyed bonding with the cats and definitely would come back with the kids. It was a great way to see the invidual cats personalities. Lady working was super friendly and could definitely tell she loved all the cats there. Artwork is beautiful there as well. Hidden gem in South Jersey. Also all cats are available for adoption.

This place was awesome! The guy that was behind the counter was so friendly and welcoming. We got the package for a half hour, cat treats & ramen and it was well worth it! The ramen isn't premade but still they have all kinds of toppings and seasonings to go on it. It was an experience I'm glad I got to have with my kid and we'll be back again! (If our schedules allow)

Pros Atmosphere: 5/5. I loved the way the Cafe is designed from the window art in the store front, art on the ceiling and walls, and to the paper mache cat and fishies hanging in the bathroom. This place has so much artistic colorful personality! Music was laid back and there were board games and books available in a cozy corner for anyone looking for other forms of entertainment. Cats: 5/5. They’re utterly adorable! I was told that they’re cats from the shelter who are given to the cafe for socialization and to help support their adoption. I cannot have a cat because of reasons but I love that this place makes it an option to still enjoy being around them! The cafe creates this beneficial symbiotic relationship where it benefits the cafe go-er(s) and the cat simultaneously. Workers: 5/

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I had so much fun with friends. Lexi and Brien took great care of us when we came in. I love everything from the murals to the cozy vibe inside. The cats super friendly and playful I definitely will be back!
