Food was phenomenal. Portions were kinda small for the price (everything is pricey ) I recommend the ceviche appetizer and the rice with seafood was amazing. One server was super nice but the one with the long hair had an attitude. Then there's the whole, machine is broken cash only thing which was not cool. Other than that the decor is amazing.
The chef is crazy. The food even crazier...in the BEST way. Ceviche second to none...can and do drink the tigers milk by the glass. Chicken? Stupid tasty, marinated with peruvian magic. Pisco sours are very solid. The ambiance feels like being transported to a different realm, forgetting one is in queens and not lima, peru.
My wife and I went to Caleta 111 and had the ceviche mixto, and the arroz con mariscos. The food was amazing. I haven't had ceviche that was so fresh in a long time.
Ordered ceviche mixto, arroz de mariscos and lomo saltado for take out. I’m Peruvian and this food was awful. The lomo tasted like vinegar and it didn’t come with rice. The ceviche didn’t taste authentic at all. And the worst dish was the arroz de mariscos. Soggy rice and barely any flavor. This place is overhyped. The worst part is how expensive the food was
Caleta 111 is a culinary gem in Richmond Hill! This place NEVER disappoints. My husband and I have dined here a few times, and have ordered takeout just as much. Honestly, if I could eat this every day, I would. The menu offers a journey through vibrant, sometimes unexpected, yet surprising flavors and thoughtful dishes. My personal favorites are the Tiger's Milk, Lomo Saltado, Chica Morada, and cancha - which is a perfect snack on its own! The Tiger' Milk is an explosion of fresh, tangy and savory flavors that excite the palate, while the Lomo Saltado is the ultimate comfort food - perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with bold flavors. If you're looking for something different, order the Chaufa de Mariscos. From the very first bite, we got instant dopamine hits - the unexpected flav
