The portions are large and a good value for the price. The brisket and ribs were tender but I especially liked the homemade sausage.i didn't get to try the jalapenos because they were out but they substituted some fried shrimp for them. The owner is very friendly and nice
We stopped to try this guys red beans and rice and end up ordering a brisket sandwich and sliced brisket plate with dirty rice and an order of red beans and rice. The meat was a bit dry, the dirty rice excellent and the red beans and rice were so so. Not my favorite thing but that’s just me. He was quick and polite and we will have to try something else next time.
This is a hidden gem. I didn’t know it existed until I saw the sign on the side of a rural road on my way back to my home in Dallas. In retrospect, I’m glad that I made that U-turn and went back to get a plate of brisket, and take a rack of ribs home. Both were excellent. But I was especially impressed with the price ~ a lot of bang for the buck on the size of the ribs in contrast to the price. Ronnie who owns and runs this on his property is an absolute gentleman, and I have vowed my loyalty to him anytime I have to travel through or near this region. This is off the beaten path for sure, but it’s totally worth going out of the way for in y’all’s travels. …
My wife and I got BBQ here it was frozen so the guy microwaved it. I have been eating BBQ for 50 years. This was the worst BBQ I ever had in my life. Never again.
This has got to be, by far, some of the best 'que I have ever had the pleasure of eating. The service was wonderful, and the wait time for the amount I ordered was incredibly short! 30 minutes for $63 worth of food. Now onto the food itself. I ordered the 3 meat plate with fries and dirty rice, has brisket, ribs, and sausage, perfect sampler. Good God, it is immaculate. Every piece of meat is as tender as a mother's hug, it was unreal. Especially the brisket, it was like biting into softened butter. Whatever seasonings/rubs were used were fantastic, and the sausage had an amazing flavor. The sides were also some of the best. The fries were perfectly crisp and well seasoned, and the dirty rice, mm mm MM was it good. The blueberry banana nut bread was also extremely good. Very sweet, and t
