Café Trang Bistro

I’m someone who never usually leaves reviews. To me, whether the food is good or not, it’s just one meal. But this place was really outrageous. A small pho was $12.99, and the portion was so tiny it felt like just one bite — and I’m a woman, and even I thought it was ridiculous. I also ordered a bubble tea (I don’t even know how much it cost), and the total came out to $22. The prices are definitely not cheap. You have to order at the counter, everything is self-service, and you even have to clean up your own bowls and utensils. On top of that, they weren’t happy if you didn’t tip. I will never come back.

I got the garlic butter sandwich with all the toppings. It is absolutely delicious! We also ordered the cream cheese wontons. These are some of the best cream cheese wontons I’ve ever had. Love this place!

We used to come here when it first opened. The serving sizes were big and everything was wonderful. Over a few months though the sizes got smaller and smaller to a point we stopped going. Clearly trying to increase profits thinking people wouldn’t notice. Well we went back after a year. Glad to say that the sizes were back to the larger again but the amount of meat in the Pho was much less. The broth in the soup is however the best tasting so we are stuck deciding what we want to do. :-( the taro smoothie is great though. Overall I’m a bit torn on how I feel about this place now.

My experience with Cafe Trang has consistently always been great! I typically will order their milk Mango smoothie with a brisket pho. It hits the spot every time. I’ve personally gone into the store and eaten, and every time they are quick and everything is always flavorful and delicious. I have also ordered take out (through DoorDash) and they are always quick to provide me my order. Pricing I would say is pretty comparable to other Vietnamese restaurants in the West Jordan area. Overall, you can’t go wrong in choosing this place to eat!

We had pho at Cafe Trang. It was very tasty and filling. I also like how it is gluten-free. The broth had a great flavor, and the veggies were good and fresh.
