Cafe Santé

Had a nice meal here after a day of snowboarding. Tried a variety of things including their hanger steak, fries, wood fired meatball pizza, fresh pasta and of course a few cocktails. Everything was good and the server, Jeff, was excellent. Would recommend to anyone and will be back next time we are at Boyne.

Cafe Santé was a really enjoyable place for breakfast with great food and a pleasant atmosphere. The pancakes were excellent — more European in style, thinner and lighter, with a balanced flavor that wasn’t overly sweet. Easily a 10 out of 10 for the pancakes alone. The traditional American breakfast was also very tasty and satisfying. It’s definitely on the rich and greasy side, which might be the only downside, but at the same time that’s exactly what gives it its strong flavor. I’d rate it around a 9.5 out of 10 for taste and portion. The décor is nice and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere feels relaxed and comfortable, making it a great spot to sit down and enjoy a proper breakfast.

MUST GO! Very minimal wait to get a table for 2. Our waiter, Jennifer M., was amazing! She helped us choose a bottle of Giacomelli Paduletti to split with our amazing meal. You get what you pay for- great and fast service, delicious food, and just the right atmosphere!!

You can choose between sparkling or still water to start, which was a nice touch. Ashley, our server, was wonderful, friendly and attentive. The margherita pizza was amazing! The crust was light, crispy, and perfectly charred. The Belgian frites with rouille were absolutely delicious. The rouille is made in house. The restaurant offers a dinner from different European countries, much like a "tour of" meal. Drinks are available to-go so you can enjoy them while walking through the social district. There was a live band playing, and the overall atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. We will return the next time we are in Boyne.

Fine dining without the exorberant cost. Exceptional value. Extremely friendly staff. Beautiful location in lovely Boyne City by Lake Charlevoix. When I return, (you betcha!) I'll try more than just breakfast, although I was definitely not disappointed with their Vienna Pancakes and their Eggs Benedict. Absolutely delicious!
