Buttercup Bakery

I had a mixed berry scone and Caramel coffee. The scone had hints of blueberry and orange zest that were so light and airy, only made more delightful with the piping hot coffee. You're in for a treat when you find this bakery. It has outdoor seating and scrumptious baked goods! Top it off with some coffee and you've got savory goodness to dip and enjoy the quiet sound of ducks and birds (thankfully this space is pretty separate from most of the car traffic). And you know a place is good when their restroom is cute. I was helped by their very kind owner and had a welcoming and lovely time, perfect way to have a mid morning snack and morning drawing session.

I got a rocky road treat which happens to be gluten-free and was absolutely delicious! I was afraid it would be too sweet, but it wasn’t. I think it’s made with homemade marshmallows because they’re not the sticky sweet confections from the grocery store, then covered in peanut butter and in dark chocolate, just perfect. I also really liked the patio seating. There’s sufficient shade and makes for a lovely place to sit and even work for a bit.

The banana bread is PHENOMENAL!! And it's such a cute little spot! You order at a window, so you don't go inside, but there's adorable seating outside for you to enjoy your goodies at.

I love visiting all the hidden gems in the Deland area, and this one did not disappoint. Such a cute counter-service and drive-thru bakery. They offer a large selection of items at the window, and additional treats in the back. The lady who helped me instantly realized I was a newbie, and offered me several samples to try. I settled on the Kentucky cake, and it was absolutely delicious. The bakery is a little pricey (at $18 for 3 items) but worth it. If you’re in the area, this is a must try.

This is one of the most delightfully quaint little bakeries that DeLand has to offer. They have a wonderful assortment of gluten-free items as well and are always willing to discuss options with you. Delicious cakes and fudges and sweet things to make your heart pitter patter lots of storks around there too and they're not carrying babies. Highly recommend this place if you have a sweet tooth for Bakery items the staff is lovely and helpful as well.
