Bushnell-Sage Library

A beautiful quiet library with a lovely lounging area with comfy couches and chairs. We spent a lot of time on the jigsaw puzzle table which has a turntable and draws for sorting different colours etc. The air conditioning, water cooler and bathroom made it easy to spend time here on a hot day.

This library was a huge part of my childhood. We would "rent movies" where I learned about different animals (eyewitness science movies), I would escape in the pillowed gazebo with gorgeous picture books, and I would later start reading David McCullough and Dickens with copies from those books. My local librarians were always kind, patient, and knowledgable! If Bushnell Sage doesn't have what you are looking for, I believe there is a Berkshire book exchange (I hope that is still the case). Fun fact: The building used to be the elementary school in the 1960s.

Well run, well stocked and workers are extremely kind and helpful.
