Burlingame Public Library

One of the most beautiful libraries I’ve been in. The second best library I’ve been in was in Los Angeles. I hope it’s still there but this library is beautiful. They have a café and it’s multilevel. They offer so many different resources. It’s unbelievable. This is such a great town for children and adults to be in with so much community Support. Nicely air conditioning for hot summers and cozy in the winter. It’s a great place to go relax or have a free day and read a book. Take your children to actually read books or just have family time without cell phone. You have extra books or you’re moving they have a donation pile box which is great. Lovely spacious library near downtown with many great sections and a classic, traditional feel to it. I love to go to different libraries and explore when I am in the area or visiting a city. It is peaceful and a great place to work. There is a nice patio upstairs. If you do not have a library card and want to use the computer, just ask one of the kind staff for a guest pass which will allow 1-2 hours free use. I did not see dedicated parking, just street side.

My kids and I have been coming to this library since they were babies. We love the staff, the programs, and the great book selections they have. This library is a true Burlingame treasure.

Good library -- lots of space for work and study. However, lately, there have been ALL-DAY closures of the Reading Room (the biggest, most open room in the library) which is used by the majority of people. When the Reading Room is closed ALL DAY (even though the event they're using it for is at night), people scramble because there are not a lot of other spaces in the other areas.

The only library in the Peninsula that offers homemade delicious food at one of the most beautiful libraries here in SF Peninsula. I absolutely adore the woman that makes all these delicious food from scratch and will be back...again and again....to try more of her delicious creations 😈. Yes, I can go downtown to buy food, but why bother when I can just go straight to the library after work, grab a light dinner, and start studying shortly after? Saves time, money, and bandwidth.
