Burgess Bed & Bath

Stayed here during the week honestly couldn't imagine being here on a weekend in the middle of summer. The room was very nice the staff was awesome the only reason for 4 and not 5 stars no ac and I sweet my butt off in the room when I was there. But that being said great place quaint arrangements and I'd stay again!

My wife and I stayed here for our visit to Maine in September of 2023 and despite our plane arriving late in Bangor with another hour drive ahead of us we were greeted upon arrival by our lovely host regardless. The accommodations were more than adequate for our stay and the room was reasonably clean as well. Prices are fair for the area and the owners are extremely friendly and willing to recommend places to see and things to do while you’re in town. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Based on previous reviews, I didn't have a good feeling. Then we arrived, met the owners, checked the place out, and we were thrilled. We took the room with 2 beds and bath included. It was so clean, modern, and comfortable. It felt as good as home. This was my first trip ever to Maine, and I had a great time visiting our friends in rustic cabins with outhouses on the bay, including boat trips to great restaurants, and then returning to our plush little haven. We stayed up late one night watching the stars by the bay, and we had fun sneaking up the back stairs to our little getaway. We will definitely be returning for longer than 3 nights to enjoy more time there than we had this time.

This B&B was one of two recommended by our motel owner, who wasn't able to accommodate the extra night we decided to stay in Stonington. Our hosts were friendly; the room and bath were large and clean. The bath was not attached, but there were no guests in the room next door, so we still had all the privacy we like to have. The location is not within walking distance to town or the water, but is a convenient spot on the island. There is a market a short distance down the road where we purchased picnic supplies for our boat ride to Isle au Haut. We were told they had breakfast sandwiches in the morning, but we arrived too late (9:30) and they were gone. ||The B&B had artwork we really liked, and the hosts told us the artist was their daughter, Shari Ciomei, and that she had a gallery in S

Stayed a night here when we couldn't stay in Stonington - the owner was very helpful the price was right and the room was clean very spacious with extremely comfortable beds ( separate bathroom but we were the only guests upstairs ) had my best nights sleep here whilst touring around Maine! It is a little out of town but wasn't a problem for us we were recommended the Harbour Cafe in Stonington and it didn't disappoint we ate dinner there followed by breakfast the following morning! Would recommend both Burgess Bed and Bath and the Harbour Cafe.
