We always cross our fingers and hope the Stonington Ice Cream Company is open when we visit Deer Isle in late spring. Their lobster rolls are our favorite, anywhere. The freshly toasted bun is heaped with sweet, very fresh lobster, with slices of scallion and a little tarragon (fennel?) in the light mayo dressing. It is exceptionally good and worth every dollar of its $25 price tag.
Came for the lobster roll but ended up loving the smoked haddock sandwich even more! Everything was delicious. We also came back a second time and got the pork sandwich which was also incredible. We’ll definitely be back!
Five star ice cream reports 11-year/old mint chocolate chip expert. Try the blueberry too.
Great lobster and great ice cream. Not much else you need.
We got there late and they had just 4 flavors left but I LOVED the cherry Bordeaux and my spouse loved his blueberry cone, son liked the strawberry too
