If you're looking for a Michelin starred dining experience, keep looking. If you're looking for tasty, wholesome food in adult sized portions, this is your place. Its a very small place with red and yellow sign. From the outside it looks like any one of ten thousand tiny, locally owned diners, inside, about twelve tables with staff racing around. We were seated immediately. Our drink orders were taken as we were seated then after our drinks were brought a plate of hush puppies with melted honey butter for dipping magically appeared. My wife and I placed our orders, fried flounder with collard greens and yams for her, grilled scallops with fries and coleslaw for me. I was visiting Hampton, SC and came here for a friend’s birthday dinner. The atmosphere had a nice, laid-back vibe and our waitress was a pleasant young lady who provided friendly service. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. Nothing tasted freshly made, it seemed as though everything had been reheated before being served. The mac and cheese lacked flavor, the cabbage had a slight sweetness but nothing memorable, and the turkey wing was greasy with dried gravy. I even mentioned to our server that it was my first time dining here, which I hoped would encourage some effort from the kitchen to make a good impression, but that did not happen. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant and I personally would not return. Spent $121.23 total and tipped the waiter.

Everything was great from the moment we stepped in. The person greeted us right away, and we were seated quickly. Service was excellent, and all the dishes were a 10 out of 10.

Our second time here and it was just as delicious and wonderful as the last time! Food is outstanding! If you haven’t been to support this local gem, you must! Don’t sleep on this one! 1000% better than any seafood restaurant downtown Charleston! Everyone is fabulous here!

From the food to the service. Five stars, five stars, five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. This is our first time dining here since they opened. I had the fried pork chop chop, cabbage red rice and cornbread. They give you much. The portion sizes are plentiful. My husband had oxtails and by the time he was done there were only bones left. We will most definitely be back. We even met the cook and thanked him personally. Eat here everybody. You will not be disappointed.
