Buck's Pizza

Amazing place. Found it while looking for a place to have dinner along I-80 travel. It was a very relaxed and friendly setting. Owner Nate was there and made us feel welcome while having nice chat. Food was great between plain pizza for kids, wings for adults and canoly with tiramisu for desert. Everything from service to food to price to setting is great. Will definitely be back when travel in area again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome food and even better staff! I had a great experience at Buck’s Pizza in DuBois! The first thing you notice is the staff—they are incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. The food selection is huge, with so many great choices on the menu beyond just pizza. The atmosphere is exactly what it should be for a local spot: cozy and inviting. A few things I loved: • Desserts: They have a wide range of sweets that you have to try. • Drinks to go: Very convenient that they have a good selection of beverages to grab on your way out. • Vibe: It’s a great environment for a meal. I highly recommend checking them out if you're in the area. I’ll definitely be back!

I stopped here to eat while passing nearby while traveling from out-of-state. The online menu raved about the made from scratch marinara sauce, so the GPS was set. I was not expecting the industrial park setting. There was ample parking and upon entering you are greeted with the dessert case, yum. The facility is very large with solid oak woodwork everywhere. Large, comfortable booths and tables hold a large menu including daily specials. Very friendly staff, and quick service. I ordered spaghetti which was typical out of the box pasta and a very average tasting sauce. It seemed very out of the can, but I may be wrong. I felt that the meal was nothing to tell your friends about, but it was warm food on a cold day.

There on a Thursday evening around 6pm. Not very busy so we were seated immediately. Our waitress was very attentive and took our order right away. We both had 16 oz draft beer and it was very cold (like draft beer should be). We had a Bucks Special (medium) and boneless wings (medium sauce). Food came out very fast and both the pizza and wings were excellent. The pizza was loaded with toppings and the wings had plenty of sauce. We like Bucks pizza because it's not dripping with grease and the crust is made to perfection (good flavor). I don't know about you but I don't like a burnt crust. We never had one here. We always manage a night out at Bucks when were in the area. The booths are very private (high backs) with a bench type seat.

The food was good, the service...not so much. We overheard there was a shortage of servers, although there was a hostess and a couple employees at the counter as you come in...along with a manager. Surely someone could have helped the servers. There was a mistake on my salad. I sent it back. When the manager brought the right one, he didn't even apologize for the mistake, and now my dinner had already arrived. I should have had the salad earlier. We ate here 10 days ago and they were short on servers that time also, but the hostess helped the server. We were impressed with the food, so we returned last night. Now it will be awhile before we come again.
