Bruster's Real Ice Cream

I stopped by Bruster’s Real Ice Cream and picked up black cherry and cookies & cream, topped with a couple of extra cherries. Overall, it was pretty good. The black cherry had a nice, rich flavor with real cherry pieces mixed in, which I always appreciate. It wasn’t overly sweet and had that classic creamy texture. The cookies & cream was solid too — smooth base with a good amount of cookie chunks throughout. Both flavors were satisfying and tasted fresh. Portion sizes were decent, and the quality was what you’d expect from a dedicated ice cream shop. Not bad at all — definitely hit the sweet craving. I grew up in upstate New York, where this ice cream shop was a go-to spot for a sweet treat after dinner. However, this location has fallen short of its former glory in terms of customer service and quality ice cream. During my recent visit, I requested a strawberry shortcake sundae w/light whip and they decide to make one without the strawberry sauce. When I returned to collect it, they had made one with a tart strawberry sauce, likely due to it being out of date. This incident prompted me to question the competence of the store’s associates and management. I urge the owners to address these issues promptly. O M G I love this place! They have just phased out the large cups (4 scoops in a single cup) in favor of...flights? 4 scoops in a special container so that each scoop is separate!!!! I am in love! Now I don't have to coordinate the flavors to not make each other weird! I can get pistachio and mango-dragonfruit sorbet and double fudge brownie and white galaxy and not have to worry at all?! I seriously can't get over how grateful I am that Dave (the manager) truly puts time, effort, and industry knowledge into thinking through every aspect of the customer experience.

Amazing! Freshest icecream in town.. visiting from out of town and a will be coming whenever in town. Tried the mixed berry cheesecake and the mango dragonflies. My 6 yr old love the shaded turf area to do cartwheels and run and play. Loved it!

Bruster's Real Ice Cream is a wonderful place to have a sweet treat. The facility is clean, the employees are friendly and very patient which is great because with all the flavor options it does take a while to choose. They do provide samples. The ice-cream was excellent. The scoops are a good size and it is a great value. It is worth the drive if you are not in the area.
