Brooks County Public Library

Some major changes over the years, but it's always clean, has access to several computers, and it's never crowded. They can order books from other locations for you. Some of the workers are quite friendly and helpful. It could use more hours open...

This library has an extensive collection of books. I was very impressed with the literature section specifically the Greco Roman collections. Specifically, the Greek tragedies. I keep coming back to look for Spanish, Japanese and Russian poetry. In the librarians are unabashedly helpful.

They have plenty of African American titles/authors and many out—of- print materials. More importantly to me, because I am visually impaired, they stock a large and varied number of cds/recorded books. Worth going the extra distance!

I needed help with my resume and forms printed from my phone. The Librarian and Jamie the computer expert (yes he is to me) were both soooo on it!!! They worked their magic and now I have printed forms that were urgent and a new current resume. They are amazing!! I am so grateful to both of them. Thank God for Brooks County Library, the Librarian, and Jamie. Great Team Work!!

Just made a visit to this library for a meeting with 2 other ladies for an ISP meeting for my son who attends the Legacy Behavior Health Center. Meeting was scheduled for 10:00, my son and I arrived a few minutes early. At 9:59 one of the ladies called to let me know that she was running late. I answered my phone when I seen that it was her calling. She let me know that she was having car trouble and running late, at the time I did not know the other lady had a scheduling conflict and would not be there. When I hung up the phone, "Mr. Librarian" said to me, "If you want to use your phone you will have to go to the lobby" ok, my mistake, I should have remembered I was in the library. However, he went on to add "Even Helen Keller could have seen the sign on the door". Big mistake! He
