Brocheta Mediterranean Bistro

2 Star food with 5 Star Service and Atmosphere. Pita Sandwich was cold. Meat was reheated and placed on a stale Pita Wrap. Everything should be fresh and done with the care of the room and location. Tomatoes were not ripe. Tap water was not filtered so the ice would be just as bad along with the tea and soda. Just looks like the staff may need a little pride for what they have because the owners sure made the place look great and the atmosphere is probably perfect. It was mid-lunch time and the place had 3 tables occupied, including us. Should be PACKED. They need someone to really motivate them. Chef Ramsey…Where are you? lol.

Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked! I ordered the brocheta with two proteins (steak and shrimp) and grilled vegetables — absolutely spot on for a keto or low-carb meal. Everything tasted fresh and was cooked just right: the shrimp juicy, the steak tender, and the veggies with a nice char. The chimichurri added great flavor without overpowering it. Clean plate, great service, and good atmosphere. Definitely one of the best healthy options in McAllen — I’ll be coming back.

We shared the hummus trio with falafel, which we liked. The pesto hummus was especially good, as well as the tzatziki. The lentil soup was decent but nothing to write home about, IMO. I’d eat here again, but next time I’ll try something different.

We love Mediterranean and this locally owned restaurant is phenomenal. Today we had the steak rolls and pita. The lamb and chicken combo pita with lamb base is phenomenal and I highly recommend this combo. The hummus is delicious.

Lunch on 11/17 was $18.56. I would not complain if I felt this business is giving me a fair exchange for my money but I am served side portions that don’t amount to even half of the container. Each side individually purchased is $4.99. I purchased the meal and was already home so I thought I could speak to someone civil about my meal. I have often given preference to this place despite their inconsistent service and quality. The manager using a condescending tone to tell me “she’s the manager” and the business is locally owned and not much room to address my issue with anyone else and they were previously “serving too much and losing product” just sealed the deal for me. I will not purchase my meals here anymore and will make sure to advise my friends and family that you will not be treate
