Husband always knows best thing to order, the royal Birkdale Steak and mushroom pie in puff pastry served with real mashed potatoes with rich gravy and odd course pears and carrots. His was absolutely wonderful. I had the St Andrews fish and chips served with home fries and slaw, sadly disappointed, greasy fish and mediocre slaw. Love the malt vinegar for the good fries. Will definitely be back.

Great place to get a pint and have some very excellent food. Staff was friendly and efficient. The food was outstanding. Best fish and chips I have had in a long time. It’s a must order. Highly recommend stopping by.

We've always wanted to try this restaurant, even though the location is odd and the outside vibes were not compelling. "Where oh where can we find really good fish and chips", we've asked ourselves since we moved here. We thought a British Pub would do it. Husband ordered Fish and chips and I ordered a salad.. the fish was ok, not remarkable. The fries were very good and the cole slaw was good too. The entree salad was not too my liking. It may have been better with a different dressing. I suppose I was betting on that fact, as I brought most of it home with me. The ham and turkey were in spirals and made up of what I would swear was a packaged meat. Not bad, but, I could have done this at home. It was disappointing. I just discovered this jewel of a restaurant in Bluffton, SC. Great menu items that are so wonderfully prepared and the service is fantastic, I can't wait for another opportunity to go there again. The beef and mushroom pot pie was amazing and there is a nice choice of beers. Evan was wonderfully helpful and clearly loves this restaurant.

Ended up here with a friend. We were trying to find another resturant and she decided she wanted to go elsewhere; this was nearby. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. I got a before sandwich and OMG... if I could cook vegetables like that, I'd eat then all day everyday. My friend got a patty melt and said her's was excellent. My husband got a prime rib sandwich and loved it. We all agree this is a resturant we'll go to again.
