Brighton Branch of the Boston Public Library

If your looking for a quiet space to read or do homework this is not the place. There are no "quiet spaces" in the library. I nicely asked if there were quiet spaces as it was my first time coming to this branch and was rudely told that there are no quiet spaces and people are allowed to speak everywhere. Never heard of a library without a quiet policy, but that is the policy here.

Since I moved to Brighton I have utilized the branch on academy Hill. The staff there are very welcoming, everyone seems to respect one another. Very pleased with all my experiences with them

Nice quiet place with good selection of resources and helpful staff

it's a good library!! Sometimes the people coming in are loud and invasive ! Not recommended for deep concentration requiring work. Try the Brookline village or Coolidge corner for that kind of work.

I have had nothing but great experiences every time I’ve walked into this library. No matter who is working I get great help and they never seem to get impatient with all my questions! I highly recommend checking out this library if you enjoy reading, the online portal is super user friendly and easy to use. 10/10 recommend
