Stopped at this small place in Winthrop on our way to a concert at the Lynn Auditorium. Delightful owner and staff serve up very delicious Nepalese food. Loved every dish, just the right amount of spice. Momos, samosas, and rice bowls were so tasty and cooked to perfection.
A good food joint for momo. They have other food options as well but from my experience I would just stick with momo. Hard working dedicated owner, it seems. Service is minimum as this appears to be mainly a take out place. No issues with the food, as I have eaten there or received delivery service from them a few times so far. During winter time, it is cold in there so be prepared if you are dining in. once or twice, I have noticed money supersedes service there. However, I would still go or order their food again unless I feel food or service deterioates.
Best momos I’ve had in a while. I’ve had momos in every cosmopolitan city in the US and this one is the best one yet. They make everything in house. You can see this because it’s an open kitchen. You can see the giant standin mixer where they make the dough for samosas and the giant steamer for momos.
Happened to visit here with my fam. I am Indo-American & knew what to order so we did so quickly on reaching. The food was bad, it was tasting like something because of the spices but seriously lacked in quality and cooking. The fried items like samosa/ momos were not even fried in oil but a very unhealthy cheap version of it. And the paneer they used is one of the worst quality I have tasted by far plus it was not cooked thoroughly. Same with the chicken tikka masala. The rice was hot but it was obvious that it was cheap and hard to digest. The owner did mention that the place is old and he has been doing this for years now, but all those years of profit and he can't hire a cook or keep the place non-greasy?? Got to know that the owner of the restaurant is the only cook. His staff is jus
Reply to the owner for a previous review : Your response avoids accountability and reframes serious concerns as “negativity,” which is exactly the issue. This review was not based on assumptions or a rushed 30-minute experience. It was based on what was visibly observed: unhygienic conditions, questionable food handling, poor food quality, and unacceptable workplace conduct — all of which were evident during the visit. Additionally, the manner in which staff were spoken to in front of customers was aggressive and inappropriate. Stress, staffing shortages, or personal circumstances do not justify verbal abuse in a professional setting. Repeatedly emphasizing that this is a “small business” or that you have worked hard for years does not address the concerns raised. Longevity does not ex
