Very nice people and a very good experience. For 30 bucks and they allowed my wife and sweet pup to ride along you can't beat it. When I visit family in Raleigh again I will play there again. Were the conditions Augusta National in April? No, but they were good enough to enjoy a casual round of golf for not alot of money. A suggestion would be to mark all the bunkers as ground under repair. They looked atrocious to be honest...
Cost $100 for me and my son to play. Due to no set tee times, had to wait every shot. Took over 5 hours to play 16 holes and ended up not playing the last two holes. Bunkers are washed out and solid with lots of rocks even though they had a big mound of sand by the maintenance shop. Greens were decent but lots of bad, dead spots and unprepared areas. One green had a hole in the middle, like they moved the flag and did not put the plug in the old spot. I would not recommend this course unless you want to spend a lot of time and money.
Overall, Brevofield is a solid local golf course. I’ve always heard the fairways were wide open. That is definitely true for the first nine. It would be a great beginners course for someone who is learning to play. It’s nothing fancy, but just a good local country golf course.
My son is 11 and has stayed golfing with me. This course is amazing. It’s open and fun but slightly challenging. He’s been golfing for 2 years now, and this course is a nice step up from Paschal for him. It’s wide open, the hazards are perfect and the course is hilly which makes it challenging for both him and I. My new favorite course in the Raleigh area to golf with my son. Bonus, the gentlemen working there are always wonderful and very supportive of such young golfers.
The course is a great value for the price; I enjoy playing here when I can. They do not have tee times so if you show up at peak times expect to wait in a line. The course is family owned and they keep it in pretty good shape. The back 9 is a lot tighter than the front and a bit more challenging. The sand traps and not in good shape and there is only one hole with a water hazard. The greens are in good shape, all pretty flat but in good condition except for two of the holes.
