Brendan's Towne Tavern

I'm not usually good at looking at the map and picking a place to eat. On a recent road trip my husband left this task up to me. I randomly picked Brendan's Towne Tavern . We were there just as they opened for the day. A young man greeted us and told us we could have a seat anywhere we would like. The atmosphere was inviting so we picked a table in the center of the room so we could take everything in. The menu was not all the usual items you find on most bar menus which was very refreshing. The chance to try something different is what we enjoy finding. Our food was delicious and the service was excellent. We will definitely be making a return trip .

Haddock was perfection. Waffle fries and cole slaw were both outstanding. Service was amazing being both helpful and fast. Never had to wait for a refill. Lively place even on weeknights.

Found a LONG hair in my sandwich- in which itself was mostly bun with a sad little chicken on it. The waiter seemed to not care at all, like the staff is definitely a bunch of high schoolers or young college kids, which I get but like come on at least try 😭 lol but fr I would not recommend eating here ever. The vibe is cool tho love the decor and how dark it is inside

This gem has amazing food, drinks, and service. I especially love their New York strip and black diamond, which are under $30 and delicious. Service is also very friendly and proactive (shoutout Chrissy, Lexi, Melissa, Tristan). Drinks are also pretty affordable and there are DJ’s on some nights. There is Kareoke on Thursday and events going on throughout the week. I made plenty of amazing memories and friendships here in one of the most pivotal formative years of my life. I will never forget Towne Tavern’s community and its positive impact on Lewisburg and Bucknell!!

I’ve been coming to The Tavern for years, as both a bar and a restaurant, and have always had fabulous experiences. (They even saw me at my worst/recently-21 phase and were always gracious and kind.) Most recently I reached out to book a private event with a large group of local girlfriends, and Chrissie went above and beyond to help accommodate us and make the event possible. She was so kind and communicative, and displayed extreme patience while our party planners were being high-maintenance. There’s not a better or more nostalgic place to go, and I can’t wait for our event! The Tav is always tried and true ❤️
