Avoid. The worst service. Cold food that should have been hot. Unresponsible management. I have been traveling for three months. I have eaten at this particular restaurant many times over the past three years and been very pleased with the service, food and atmosphere. On this Monday though, it was a place to avoid. In 100 consecutive days of dining out, all up and down the Mid-west and East Coast, this dinner dining experience was the worst of all. I ordered a salad, a soup, and the special, "meatloaf". Before I took a bite of salad, the soup came. Before I took 2 bites of soup, the main came. They get a n A+ for speed, and an F- for service. The kitchen area was a buzz with friendly banter among the staff. I got the feeling they would all rather be home or out visiting with each other

I am from out of date, and someone recommended this place to us to try while in Oriental. I would NOT Recommend this place. First of all, it took an hour before our food was served to us literally. My sister's sweet potato fries were cold. My hush puppies were burnt and my friend's Sweet potato fries were burnt. My brother-in-law said the sandwhich he got was horrible and he didn't even eat it. He gave it back. Said it did not taste good at all. He didn't want to order anything else. We were afraid we would have to wait another hour To get a replacement. I did point out the burnt hush puppies to the waitress and she did give us a new basket of them that were not burnt. So they at least got that right, but overall I will not be back. Save yourself the time and go to a different restaurant w

One of our favorite breakfast spots! Great omelets and pancakes. Staff are always pleasant. We also enjoy their dinners! Comfy cushioned booths. Easy accessibility as handicapped parking spots are a few steps from the front doors. Highly recommend.

Brantley's is a family style restaurant. Decor is dated, but restaurant is clean and neat. They have an all you can eat bar or you can order from the menu. The bathroom was clean. Our waitress took our drink order and brought really good hush puppies (crispy on the outside and soft on the inside) out quickly. I had the salmon with 2 sides - sweet potato (perfectly baked) and baked apples (not too sweet, you could still taste the tartness of the apple). My husband has the salmon salad. It was just a garden salad with salmon. The salmon for both of us was too dry and overcooked. Decent place to eat. We were both full. Not exceptional.

Brantley's Village Restaurant is a friendly locally owned restaurant in Oriental Nc since 1978. They have a large dining room with two banquet rooms. The food is always excellent here with home style cooking. Today I had the grilled blacken catfish with green beans and a sweet potato. The hush puppies were cooked to perfection.... ordered a medium rare cheeseburger to go for my grandson; he give it a 4 star too... The wait staff was extremely friendly....plenty of free parking with handicap parking available. Ordering ahead with take out is available too! If you're ever visiting in the area this is an excellent choice for home style cooking and seafood...
