Customer Reviews
The food was so good. We drove over three hours round trip. I would definitely recommend and I plan to go back. Our server was very nice. The buffet had such a variety of options.
As always the fried fish was great. I think everything else we had was awful. They filled the coleslaw not even half way in our fish order to go. Gave me one tartar sauce for 8 pieces and I had to come back through the drive thru for more. The French fries were totally undercooked and disgusting. We had a chicken tender order and it was pathetic. Most Southern Cooks would be embarrassed to serve that their family...overcooked and not even breaded correctly. See the pictures. my prediction...this place will be out of business by Christmas unless major adjustments are made. The writing is on the wall.
Wanted to try this restaurant based solely off the reviews. To put it simply, the food was not good. The fried selection (shrimp, oysters, frog legs) were adequate. The boiled seafood, however left much to be desired. The crab was overcooked so badly that it was inedible. The shrimp were mush as well. And although their selection was plentiful for the price, the quality of preparation was poor at best.
Well worth a 3 hour drive from Alabama. Somebody's pawpaw has done taught Somebody how to cook a mean batch of crawfish. Great food, great service and top notch hospitality. They treated this Bama boy like family. We will be back! Thanks again.
5 stars is on a buffet rating scale. Food was very good and there was a great variety. I had the all you can eat crawfish for $5 on top of the $15 buffet. The crawfish were incredible. Cooked perfectly for an easy pull. And seasoned just right with the perfect spice level also. The crawfish comes with potatoes, corn and sausage. My favorites in the buffet were the seafood dressing, fried shrimp, seafood gumbo and crab bisque. It was easily worth the hour and a half ride and $20 buffet. The server couldn't have been nicer and was a whirling durvish moving amongst the tables taking care of the tables. I will definitely be back.
