Very high quality food with totally different flavors. Could not have enjoyed it more. Cook took order and served. Not fast because he cooked it all fresh. Even salad was excellent. Large portions. Ordered the national dish of Columbia (can't remember the name) it called for ground meat but FAR exceeded my expectations, don't know how they made it but really good.

The food here is fantastic. The salad was fresh with a light dressing. The empanadas were the best I have ever eaten. I have eaten here a few times & every time the food has such wonderful flavor. Most things are made with corn so it is safe for gluten sensitive people.

Botanero Latino is a True Gem! ​My wife and I celebrated her birthday at Botanero Latino, and it was a wonderful experience. The authentic Colombian is absolutely delicious—you can taste the care and passion in every dish. The portions are generous, and the vibrant atmosphere is inviting and unique. ​A special thank you to the owner, who works so hard as the chef, host, and waiter. Your genuine hospitality and incredible food made my wife's birthday dinner a truly positive and memorable occasion. We appreciate the delicious, authentic meal and the warm welcome. Ames is lucky to have this restaurant! We will definitely be back.

Don't be alarmed if you come in and don't see a staff member for 5 minutes-- the owner is probably cooking and will speak to you once the food comes out. The owner is also the host, waiter, bartender, and chef. If you understand that and are patient, you'll be rewarded with a delicious and authentic meal for a very reasonable price. We were in and out in less than an hour on a Sunday night. If you ask for water, you may get bottled water for $1.50.

Very good food. I would recommend to all. Try something different. We will be back. We had a wonderful meal. Left full and happy.
