Bordo: Fine Italian Goods

If you are in Marfa, you need to eat at Bordo. Full stop. Coming from two chefs on a road trip, this was one of our favorite stops. Get the sandwiches. The house made bread alone is worth the visit, perfectly baked, flavorful, and the kind of foundation that makes every filling shine. We also loved the snacks, especially the olive plate, which felt thoughtful, balanced, and exactly what you want to graze on with a drink. Everything feels simple in the best way, high quality ingredients, done with care. Obsessed!!!! The staff is warm and welcoming, the outdoor space is perfect for lingering, and the shop is stocked with awesome products you will want to take home. Was Bardo worth waiting in line for? Every bite of it. How sandwiches should be. And I'm not one to wait in line for a long time. A great food experience and a Trans-Pecos gem. Brought home some of their dried pasta, too.

Good food and great service. We went for lunch on New Year's Day and each had a different sandwich. Creative combination of ingredients in a very accessible and delicious execution. They even had a vegan option. We waited in a long line, but all the staff were so friendly and efficient and a table opened up right after we placed our order. The chef was everywhere supporting his team, including checking on patrons, scooping gelato and cleaning tables.

This place is a hidden gem!! Sandwiches are amazing. They tasted fresh with a unique flavor! The crispy potatoes are also fabulous! Highly recommend this place if you come to Marfa.

I don't think I will ever have a better Italian sandwich. The food, the service, and atmosphere are first class! Such good people.
