Came here both nights we visited Marfa! Once for drinks, but it smelled too good, we had to come back. The staff was very accommodating even though they were busy, so don’t be afraid to ask about a wait or ability to grab a drink. Can also put your names on the list and go walk around, if the wait is too long. Thankfully it wasn’t the second night we walked in and we grabbed some food in addition to the great wine. We had 4 different wines (2 whites, orange and a rose) during our visits and would order them all again. For food, the salad, mushroom toast, beans and then the bolognese paired perfectly with the wines. Especially the mushrooms toast! Yum! Can’t wait to be back next time in Marfa!
A quaint, unassuming spot for quiet meals and good conversations. We ordered the tomato, house-toasted crouton and feta salad with torn basil. It was incredibly simple and delicious. The tuna tar tar was perhaps the best I’ve ever had – bright with citrus notes. The smoked salmon in chili oil tinned fish is now a staple on my next charcuterie board. Delightful!
This is one of the best places in Marfa to grab a bite & and a glass (or more) of wine. It’s owned & run by great folks who are cutting an interesting path through the world of natural wine. Have not had a wine or a bite of food that I haven’t enjoyed.
Morning they sell coffee, bitter and straight-like Marfa itself. Afternoon it's gone. Then velvet lights. Ground beef ragu waits in a shallow bowl, steaming but not loud, sauce thick enough to sin with. Merlot arrives in a glass, no ceremony, tastes of dust and forgiveness. Menu? Changes before you finish chewing. Three nights a week only. And if you look up-real good-stars punch holes through the roof. You won't forget them. Or that mousse, black as the void, sweet as a lie you want. Five stars. Highly recommend.
A little gem in Marfa, away from the tourist crowds. We loved the beautiful, small, cozy wine bar. We walked in by chance and spontaneously stayed for dinner. The menu was small and there wasn't much choice. But we were blown away by what we got! The chef's creativity was breathtaking and the wine pairing was great. The staff were warm and courteous. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. Any time again!
