Best Thai restaurant I’ve ate at! I’ve tried so many and this one is the best! The paid Thai is amazing. They also can make it gluten free for those who have an allergy! Highly recommend! When dinning in the staff is also super friendly and good service.
Boon chu makes my favorite massaman curry by far! Mildly spicy, rich sauce, and I love the veggies. Every time I order this it's fresh and filling
Recommend: curry puff, drunken noodles Ok: massaman curry, pad thai Curry puff could be slightly flakier and have a stronger curry taste but the crust was nice and the potatoes had a lovely texture. Drunken noodles were good but had lots of raw beans sprouts on top. The shrimp were nice though Massaman curry had an okay flavor but I was not about the peanuts or pineapple and the poor was tough. Pad Thai had a distinct sour taste (potentially heavy on the tamarind)
Definitely my favorite Thai place in the area. I love their massaman curry and have had it multiple times, the flavor is consistently amazing. Their drinks are cheap and the butterfly pea tea is so good.
Boon Chu Thai is now under the new management, and it's located at the old Spice Thai at 216 W. Ridge Pike in the Shoppers at Limerick. It was my first time dining here, and I opted for a beef pho. It wasn't the best broth I ever tasted, but it was above average. Some beef pieces were rather tough, but it was probably because they were well-done when they came out of the kitchen. I would've preferred rare round steak like most Pho Tai I had before. Also, rice noodles were thin like vermicelli instead of thin flat ones. The portion size was not too large. Service was very good. I was the only one dining in, so I had the whole place to myself. I think it probably will be sometime before I come back here to try other dishes. I was told that they'll have a lunch special menu as well
