Bono's Pit Bar-B-Q

I would rate this as 3.5. We went through the drive thru and got the brisket sandwich (chopped) with 2 sides, coleslaw and the side of the day, which was hash brown casserole. The hash brown casserole was delicious, and the coleslaw was creamy and decent. The sandwich came on toast, which was interesting, but the meat spilled out everywhere. Unfortunately, we didn’t love the brisket - found it a bit dry. Missus didn’t like how fatty it was, but mister doesn’t mind the fat. It just didn’t hit quite as well as some of the bbq we’ve had.

Pulled pork is always chopped and not PULLED, really makes the whole meal feel like chicken or turkey sandwiches and the Mac and cheese was oddly mushy and didn’t taste right at all. Also was missing sauces I asked for. Im normally a big fan of Bono’s but lately it seems to be lacking staff who care enough to make the meal being paid for properly. Hope y’all improve this in the kitchen.

Great time with the 'wiffee!' My wife enjoyed the 'BBQ' and most of the sides... [coleslaw], not sweet to her taste! I enjoyed my ribs & chicken plate! Great 'BBQ ' sauce!

Great great great BBQ. The service is always top notch, staff is very pleasant and makes you feel like you're at home. The menu has all the BBQ needs and make sure you try the banana pudding it's absolutely amazing. The overall look inside is classic BBQ pit, definitely a southern feel to it. All the meat is smoked to perfection. You won't be disappointed coming here.

My wife and I have been bringing the kids to this bono's since it was the old store in Neptune beach. It has always been great food as long as the original pitmaster worked here. I can't remember his name but he's an older black gentleman and got the best smile ever! Unfortunately there's been a few disappointments recently. We ordered outer cut pork chopped and it was nothing but a lump of greasy fat. Very disappointed. Now I have to drive back on my dime and my time and get a whole new pound of replace it. That's simply not the caliber that I would hope for. Of course I understand things happen so I'm not giving it that low mark but just be aware. If you're going to order to go. Check out what you got
