Yamasaki modern sushi

I had an incredible experience at Yamasaki! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, stylish, and welcoming. The staff were attentive, friendly, and truly made the meal feel special. The food was absolutely outstanding — fresh ingredients, beautiful presentation, and flavors that were perfectly balanced. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, and it’s clear the chefs put real passion into their work. Whether you’re looking for a memorable night out or just want to enjoy exceptional cuisine, Yamasaki is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

The food here was genuinely great and easily the highlight of our visit. Everything we ordered was flavorful and well prepared. Service, however, was pretty average during the meal, and the experience ended on a very uncomfortable note. We left a tip within in the standard 13–20% range, which we felt was appropriate, but as we were leaving, the waitresses followed us outside and guilted us into giving her more. Being chased out of the restaurant over a tip was awkward and unprofessional, and it really took away from what could have been a very positive experience. Great food, but the way the situation was handled at the end makes it hard to recommend without hesitation.

We had a birthday celebration for me yesterday at this wonderful upscale restaurant. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. The service was excellent. Looking forward to coming back again soon. Highly recommended.

This place is the closest you will get to LA in the whole state of Florida !!! So much wonderful Japanese caught fish . The Aji is amazing !!!! Jay is a master chef who is a wonderful gift to us in Jax who love sushi as an art !!!

Impressive sushi menu with a wide range of options. Their sushi lunch is a solid value and may be the best in Jacksonville. If you are looking for higher end sushi, (fresh fish flown in from Japan) they have that too. Very kind, attentive staff.
