Bombay Darbar Doral

Fantastic Indian food in an up and coming area in Doral. You don’t want to miss an opportunity to dine here! We ordered several meals and shared them as a family. We had the Chicken Korma, Lamb Pasanda, Tandoori Chicken Tikka, and Mango Chicken Curry. All fabulously delicious! Deep, complex flavors paired well with the white rice and garlic and cheese Naan that we ordered! My one criticism comes with the service. Overall, the service was outstanding except on two fronts: First, the waiter made it uncomfortable to begin the conversation of a split check. In my opinion, this is absolutely an issue that needs to be remedied by management as systems can easily identify multiple checks. It’s unacceptable to have customers feel shamed by asking! Visited Bombay Darbar based on lots of recommendations; not something I would recommend myself to others. Chicken Tandoori Tikka - there was no taste of tandoori masala nor the tandoor taste. Definitely lots of food coloring added, which made it taste weird. There was no chutney served with this either. Needs a lot of improvement. Samosa Chaat - tasted very bland, no salt, samosa had no taste in it Butter Chicken - the only food item that tasted decent compared to the others. Thankfully not sweet. Dal Makhani - was extremely spicy Gulab Jamun - did not like that it was infused with rose water. Service - was kind of okay-ish

Pretty snazzy Indian spot in Doral, Bombay Durbar brings homey north Indian food to the hungry eater. The spot is emblematic of Miami - clubby with lofty ceilings, distant ambient music, and a bar. The menu and the food are unremarkable. This is a clone of any random strip mall restaurant across the country that deals north Indian cuisine. The samosa chat was tangy and sweet as expected. The matter paneer was as spicy as I had ordered. Spicy enough that I had to get a mango lassi to tide me over 😅. But the flavors worked together and I had a good meal. For the adventurous Floridian this place will work, but for the seasoned (!) and veteran Indian food connoisseur the fare here is blasé.

Bombay Darbar is one of my favorite spots, and I’ve eaten here several times because the food is consistently amazing with authentic Indian flavors. The samosas are always perfectly crispy, the garlic naan is tasty, and both the mango and strawberry lassi are refreshing. The tandoori lamb chops and chicken tikka masala are always tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I finished with the pistachio kulfi which was fresh, creamy, and is made in-house. The service is excellent every time, and Jennifer was especially attentive and friendly. Also Alejandro, the restaurant manager, is very welcoming and ensures a great experience. He takes the time to explain the dishes and make great recommendations. Great location and inviting atmosphere, highly recommend!

We had an amazing dinner at Bombay Darbar in Doral and can’t recommend it enough! The butter chicken was incredibly creamy, rich, and perfectly spiced—definitely one of the best we’ve ever had. Paired with the garlic naan, which was soft, fluffy, and loaded with fresh garlic flavor, it was absolute heaven. The lamb vindaloo had that bold, tangy kick with tender meat that just melted in your mouth—spot on for spice lovers. We washed it all down with a refreshing mango lassi that was sweet, smooth, and the perfect cooling complement. The Doral location has a modern, elegant vibe that’s welcoming and upscale, with great service that made us feel right at home. Portions were generous too, and everything tasted fresh and authentic.
